Admission to the First Semester of 5 Years/ 3 Years Law Programs
Admission to the First Year of the 3yrs and 5yrs Law Programs is as per the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institution [Regulation of Admissions and Fees] Act, 2015.

  1. Candidates are advised to visit the following websites for information on Common Entrance Test [CET] and the Centralized Admission Process [CAP]. mahacet.org
  2. The CAP is conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education [DHE], Maharashtra State. The schedule for admission, eligibility criteria and documents to be submitted and other rules pertaining to admission through CAP is decided by DHE and is published in the information brochure and hosted on DHE website.
  3. Minimum eligibility for admission:
  • 5 Years BA LLB Program
  1. Educational Qualifications: Applicants who have successfully completed Senior Secondary School Course (+2) or equivalent course from the Institute in Maharashtra State (such as 11+1, A level in Senior secondary School Leaving Certificate course) from a recognized Board in India or Outside or from Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government or from any equivalent institution from a Foreign Country recognized by the Government of that Country for the purpose of issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course examination and having its Institution in the State of Maharashtra, with minimum of 45% marks in Aggregate for OPEN, EWS (Economically Weaker Section) & Outside Maharashtra State candidates (OMS) i.e. All India Candidature Candidates, (candidates belonging to SC & ST Category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State with minimum 40% marks in Aggregate and VJNT, SBC and OBC Category Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State with minimum 42% marks in Aggregate).

  • 3 Years LLB Program
  1. Candidate should be a Graduate in any Faculty of any University in Maharashtra established by an Act of Parliament or by a State Legislature or an equivalent. National Institution recognized as a Deemed to be University or Foreign University recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an Authority competent to declare equivalence, With Minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination (That is 45% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together in case of the candidates belongings to Open Category, All India Candidature (OMS) and EWS. 40% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination (That is 40% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together) in case of candidates belonging to SC & ST Categories belonging to Maharashtra State; 42% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination (That is 42% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together) in case of candidates belonging to VJNT, SBC and OBC Categories belonging to Maharashtra State.

  1. No student shall be allowed to simultaneously register for an LLB degree program with any other Graduate/Post graduate/Certificate Course run by any University or Institute.[Rule 6 of BCI rules 2008]
  2. The intake capacity for each Course is 60 students. Of these 51% are reserved for Sindhi minority candidates.
  3. Sindhi linguistic minority students domiciled in Maharashtra and desirous of securing admission in this College too will have to comply with the rules of centralized admission process. 
  4. Candidates offered seats will confirm the same on payment of fees and submission of documents.
  5. All students offered admission shall complete the pre-admission online registration process of University of Mumbai.
  6. The Admission Form and the online Admission Brochure will be available from the College Office.
  7. In case of a student migrating from another Board/University, provisional eligibility certificate from Mumbai University is required. According to O.111, a student from another University or Board of Secondary or Intermediate Education or any other Statutory examining body seeking admission to the University shall apply to the Registrar for a statement of eligibility and except in the case of students from the Universities in the State of Maharashtra, who shall be required to pay Rs.200/- only and for out of Maharashtra State pay a fee of Rs.300/- (Fee for the foreign nationals is Rs.730/-). The Registrar may issue a provisional statement of eligibility if he is satisfied that the applicant is prima facie eligible for admission to this University. On production of such a provisional statement of eligibility, a student may seek provisional admission to this University at his own risk and on condition that he submit to the Registrar’soffice through the Head/Principal of his Institution/College, the necessary certificates in original together with a certified copy of each for confirmation of his eligibility before the close of the academic term in which the student is provisionally admitted to the University. No student from another University shall be admitted to any Institution maintained by or affiliated to the University except on production of a provisional statement of eligibility issued by the Registrar.

The University may issue a provisional statement of eligibility after the due date by imposing a penalty of Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 10,000 for non-professional and professional courses respectively subject to the fulfillment of conditions laid down in Ordinance 119 and 120 relating to the attendance to be kept by the student and also subject to the condition that the student is admitted as per the admission schedule of the University.

  1. In case of student from a college affiliated to Mumbai University, transference certificate from that college is required. The application for such a certificate should be sent through the college in the prescribed form. The student shall be responsible for obtaining T.C. from his previous college and submitting it to the College.
  2. At the time of admission every student shall enroll himself/herself with the University of Mumbai by filling the enrollment form on digitaluniversity.ac.in portal. He/She shall also fill the examination forms for both the semesters.
  3. He/She shall further register himself/herself with the Bar Council of India, through the College.
  4. Documents to be Submitted:

Five passport size photographs and original plus three copies of each of the documents required by the CET/ARA/University shall be submitted at the time of admission to the College office along with a flap button plastic folder and full name of the student written and pasted on the folder. A self attested copy of Aadhar and University pre-enrolment form too to be submitted to the office.

  1. Undertakings to be submitted:
  1. An undertaking that the student is not simultaneously pursuing any other Course including CA, CS, etc.
  2. An undertaking that he will attend a minimum 75% of the total number of lectures held during each semester.
  3. An online undertaking at www.antiragging.in and www.amanmovement.org that he/she shall not engage in anti-ragging acts.
  1. Fees:
  2. The College charges fee as approved by the Fee Regulating Authority for that academic year. In case the final fee has not been approved by the Fee Regulating Authority till the date of admission, the College charges an interim fee decided by the FRA and subsequently collects/refunds the deference between the final approved fee and interim fee. The fee structure is displayed on the College Website and College Notice Board.
  3. Students will have to pay the Group Insurance fee.
  4. Cancellation and refund of Fees:

The rules for cancellation of admission and refund of fees are as decided by the DHE.

Admissions from Second to Tenth Semester of the 5 Years BA LLB Program

    1. A candidate, for being eligible for admission to the Second Semester, must have successfully kept the terms for the First Semester, irrespective of the result of the First Semester examination.
    2. A candidate, for being eligible for admission to the Third Semester, must have either passed in examination of the First and Second Semesters or must have got exemption in at least four papers of the First and Second Semesters.
    3. A candidate, for being eligible for admission to the Fourth Semester, must have successfully kept the terms for the Third Semester, irrespective of the result of the Third Semester examination.
    4. A candidate, for being eligible for admission to the Fifth Semester, must have passed in all the papers of First and Second Semesters and must have either passed in the Third and Fourth Semesters or must have got exemption in at least four papers of the Third and Fourth Semesters.
    5. A candidate, for being eligible for admission to the Sixth Semester, must have successfully kept the terms for the Fifth Semester, irrespective of the result of the Fifth Semester examination. 
    6. A candidate, for being eligible for admission to the Seventh Semester, must have passed in all papers of First to Fourth Semesters, and must have either passed in the examinations of the Fifth and Sixth Semesters, or must have got exemption in six papers (including Practical Training and DPC papers) of the Fifth and Sixth Semesters.
    7. A candidate, for being eligible for admission to the Eight Semester, must have successfully kept the terms for the Seventh Semester, irrespective of the result of the Seventh Semester examination.
    8. A candidate,  for being eligible for admission to the Ninth Semester, must have passed in all papers of First to Sixth Semesters, and must have either passed in the examinations of the Seventh and Eighth Semesters, or must have got exemption in at least six papers (including Practical Training and DPC papers) of the Seventh and Eighth Semesters.
  • A candidate, for being eligible for admission to the Tenth Semester, must have successfully kept the terms for the Ninth Semester, irrespective of the result of the Ninth Semester examination.

Admissions from Second to Sixth Semesters of the 3 Years LLB Program

Same as the admission from Sixth to Tenth Semesters of the Five Years Law Program.
