MINORITY CELL
INTRODUCTION:
The Minority Cell of Nari Gursahani Law College plays a crucial role in promoting inclusivity, addressing the concerns of minority students, and fostering a harmonious environment within the college. This dedicated cell aims to provide support, guidance, and opportunities for students belonging to minority communities.
OBJECTIVE:
● To enhance equal opportunities for education of minorities.
● To facilitate financial support to students from minority communities from governmental agencies and other sources.
● To aware the minority students regarding various scholarships programs of State Government and UGC.
● To take such follow up measures for achieving the objectives and targets laid down for the purpose by the Government of India and the UGC.
● To ensure provisions for an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.
● To encourage enrolling for career orientation programs which would empower and equip them with the necessary skills to choose a career option.
● To provide prompt counseling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any event at the campus.
● To ensure protection and reservation as provided by the Constitution of India.
NATURE OF ACTIVITIES OF THE CELL:
● To communicate with the students and motivate them for better future planning.
● The Cell is committed to provide assistance to the minority students through counseling, personality development, development of communication skill and preparatory classes for professional and employment purposes etc.
● The Cell is actively engaged in coordinating and resolving the problems in the matter of conduct of coaching and other measures with a view to see that the education system succeeds in bringing to a level quantitatively as well as qualitatively indistinguishable from the level of the rest of the society.
WORKING
a. To redress the issues and complaints related to minority Community students, a Minority Cell is being constituted. This cell is committed to resolve any conflicts pertaining to the minorities.
b. This Cell will facilitate the smooth working of the institution by maintaining cooperation and coordination among team members. This Cell will contribute towards maintaining an emotional equilibrium in the institution.
c. The Cell will aim towards efficient and swift resolution of the conflicts. The decision will be taken without any bias towards cast, creed and color. This Cell also ensures the proper implementation of scholarship schemes for minorities.
d. The cell works under the guidance and patronage of the Head of the Institution. All the decisions will be taken as per the rules and regulations formulated by the National Commission for Minorities.
e. The Minority Cell is composed of the President who is also the Convener, two members from teaching staff and one member from non-teaching staff, one of whom is from minority class and two students from minority class, who work in synchronization to make the environment of the institution congenial and friendly.

SC/ST Cell
INTRODUCTION:
Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) have been identified as the two most backward groups of Indian Society. They include all the castes, races or tribes, which have been socially, economically and educationally backward. The College is a Sindhi minority institution and is not bound by the rules of the University regarding reserving seats for the SC/ST students. However, the College provides support and assistance to students of the reserved category. To do so, the College has established the SC/ST Cell with the purpose to empower the SC/ST students of the College. The College takes special interest in facilitating financial support to students from these communities through government agencies.

1. To collect reports and information of State Government and UGC’s orders on various aspects of education of SC/ST Students. 2. To circulate State Government and UGC’s decisions about different scholarship programs.
